5 ways exploration starts in children.
Exploration in children is how children investigate and study objects.
They look at the characters of the objects, try to identify the properties of the toy, and ask questions.
Curiosity is what drives the exploration of children just as they say;
“Curiosity kills the cat but satisfaction brought it back”.
Curiosity helps children to be more observant and to think about things and try to figure them out. When children explore their curiosity, they expand their vocabulary as they use language to describe what they’re thinking, seeing, hearing, or experiencing. You can help your child’s growth by supporting their curiosity.
Here,
The five (5) ways exploration starts in children:
1. When an object (toy) or something in the environment is attractive or child friendly:
Research has proven that colorful varieties of toys, a safe and free environment, get the curiosity of a child and that leads to exploration.
2. Having contact with the objects:
Children’s interaction with the objects arouses lots of questions in their minds and seeking answers, is exploration taking place.
3. Examining the next event that will take place in the activity:
During the activity, a lot of thoughts pass through their mind ( exercising their cognitive skills) and they inspect the nature of the objects and that leads to the test of knowledge.
4. When they carry out an activity of analyzing, surveying, investigate and pay attention:
Children can go to the extent of destroying toys, objects, and things around them just to make sure they satisfy their curiosity.
5. Through their curiosity:
Trinket is what drives their exploration.
